Partie deux ~ Women’s Curling

For Christmas 2009, my son Dan gave me three tickets to the Olympic Women’s Curling event. He knows how much I like curling, in fact if I was younger, stronger and still living in Canada, I would likely join a curling club. (None of which applies today.)

Here are some of the pictures from my fun birthday spent at the curling venue with my son, Dan, and daughter-in-law, Lisa.

The pipers began the ceremonies and brought the teams in.

Eight women’s teams competed. You can see some of them lined up below, flanked by the RCMP officers. That’s the coaches on the second tier and the media boxes on the upper tiers.

All the teams were super competitive and the crowds were roaring over every miniscule victory. Just thrilling!
