ANOTHER PUZZLE of a DIFFERENT KIND!
I usually don’t like this kind of thing that comes into my
mailbox, but this puzzle is different. Very clever indeed.
For my smart friends and relatives only!
No doubt you can Google it and find the answer quickly,
but then that spoils all the mental fun. Give it a good try.
Can you figure out what these words have in common?
Banana
Dresser
Grammar
Potato
Revive
Uneven
Assess
TIME FOR THE ANSWER? You were all so close, but there is more to it.
In all of the words listed, if you take the first letter, place it at the end of the word, and then spell the word backwards, it will be the same word.

2nd and last letters are the same letter in every word. Also every word boasts at least 1 pair of the same consonant whether in a row or divided.

My guess is that if you drop the first letter of each word, what’s left becomes a palindrome.

You are both very close, but no cigar yet!
(Great to see your response, Rob, love to
have you come back again and again!)

Without looking at the other comments I’m going to say that they all have two sets of double letters.

my first thought is the pattern in the letters how the vowels make a pattern appearing first ever other letter then ever two letters etc.
